Lustrelash FAQ

  • Does having any eyelash extensions ruin your lashes?
Eyelash extensions do not damage your natural eyelashes when they are applied correctly. To prevent any damage to the natural lashes, lash extensions should be carefully selected (length, thickness, and type) and applied correctly to one natural eyelash at the time.
  • Are you meant to wash your eyelash extensions?
Most definitely Yes! We recommend to wash them daily as part of your lash care regime. Not only will it keep lash nasties away, washing your eyelash extensions prevents potential infections and irritation. Leaving your lashes unwashed for too long could lead to bacteria build-up, mites, or other eye-related complications like blepharitis. Plus.. washing your lash extensions simply helps them last longer and helps keep your natural lashes healthy underneath. We recommend our lash care kit that comes with 4 little sachets of foam me up, a beautiful glittery lash extension cleaning brush, a stunning crystal embellished glittery lash wand in its very own little care case, and a foam me up reusable bottle! Everything you need to keep those lashes looking in tip top condition!
  • How do you remove eyelash extensions, can I do this myself?
Eyelash extensions that have been applied by a lash pro, should most definitely be removed from a lash Pro. Professional lash extensions are very different to our self style DIY kits. Unlike our retail ranges where you can remove these safety at home, our Pro range lashes are strictly for lash pros to remove. We get asked, can I use castor oil?, can I use baby shampoo?, can I use the cleaning oil from your range? can I buy any lash removal products to remove your product? If you have purchased our lash kits that have been designed for home use, we have all our purposely designed products to help you remove your home kits at home safely. But if you have had professional application from a Lustrelash salon or lash tech, we highly advise to contact your Lustrelash technician that has applied these to safely remove your lashes. Not only have we created a soft and gentle formula with added minerals to our pro range range for our technicians to use for you, you can be assured your technician will remove these safely so your natural lashes are not damaged by this process.
  • How do I take care of my lash extensions?
If you are wearing our self style kits or our professional range lashes, there are a few little tips we recommend to keep those looking too top until you either change them with our kits, or have them infilled from your pro tech.. Don’t get your lashes wet for 24 hours. Unless your lash tech has used our Cure Fast formula. Clean your lashes with our foam me up lash shampoo. This will help keep your lashes looking in great condition. Avoid waterproof makeup and oil based makeup removers. When you sleep try not to sleep face down, better still check out our lash sleeping shield. (This will help your lashes last longer and keep premature loss at bay during those dreaming sessions) Avoid heat!! Saunas, steam rooms, ovens, bbq’s, any form of high heat directly to your face. We recommend brushing your lashes gently to keep them tidy, however just be careful when doing this, so you don’t catch the base of your self style kit lashes, or your professionally applied lashes. Ensure you take care of maintenance, if you are wearing our reusable self style lashes, please don’t exceed the recommended time frame of 7-10 days wear. If you are wearing our pro ranges that have been professionally applied, please ensure you have them infilled every 2-3 weeks by your lash tech. Avoid using any tinting products, lash curlers, or perming products whilst you are wearing lashes.
